"I set down the Tomato Bisque Soup on the table and looked up at the man that looked to be in his 60's.
"There you go, Sir. Enjoy your meal." I gave him a quick smile and walked to the back of the restaurant and into the employees' locker room.
"It was so awkward, you have no clue! He didn't even kiss me at the end of the date and all he would talk about was work, work and-"
The sound of the locker room door that I opened made seemed to make whoever was speaking, suddenly stop.
I walked towards my locker and heard a loud sigh.
It was Kate Jacobs.
Kate is the daughter of one of the most well-known fashion designers in history, Marc Jacobs and a retired actress who's name I cannot remember since that's just how much the fact that her father is Marc Jacobs outshines her. She was also the product of a one night stand from what I've heard and Marc stopped supporting Kate and her mother financially a couple of years after she was born since he didn't want anything to do with her mother and only cared about his career which explains as to why she's currently working as a waitress now.
"Um, I'll call you back." Kate said to whoever she was talking to on the phone, hung up and started to gather her things.
"Hey, everything okay?" I said as I got my bag out of my locker and closed it behind me.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Kate nodded and gave me a quick smile and rushed out the locker room door as my best friend, Alexandria, was heading into the locker room through the same door.
"What's up with her?" Alex said as she looked at Kate rushing out of the restaurant and turned back my way with a confused look on her face.
"I have no clue." I shrugged as I put on my sleek black leather jacket and grabbed my umbrella.
Ring. Ring. Ring.
I pulled my phone out of my jacket's front pocket and glanced down at the phone's screen.
Dominic.
My brother's name popped up in big and bold white letters, I swiped the "Answer Call" button on the screen to the right and held the phone up to my ear.
"Finally!" I heard him whisper in an exhausted tone as he sighed.
"What's up Dom? Everything okay?" I asked.
"No! Everything isn't okay. Where the hell are you?" He yelled over the phone and proceeded to sigh.
"I just finished my shift. Can you relax and tell me what's wrong?"
"Well, Let's see. First off, you were supposed to pick me up from soccer practice nearly an hour ago. Secondly, I've called you more than 8 times in the past hour and i've heard nothing from you and last but not least, i'm drenched in wet clothes because of the fucking pouring rain. That's what's wrong!"
"What do you mean I was supposed to pick you up? I specifically told mom to do it this morning because I wasn't going to be able to get out in time because of work. Try to hold tight, I'm on my way. Okay?"
"Alright." He scoffed and hung up.
